Getting Started Print E-mail

Mind2Chart add-in is a powerful tool for planning, organizing, and monitoring your project. Just several simple steps give you great results. In a minute you get the Work Breakdown Structure of your project, allocate resources and after it will be able to manage the project implementation easily.

It has never been so easy to start – all you need is to choose the set of topics (one or multiple) and assign them to the chart either with right-click menu (see Picture 1) or with a button on a ribbon bar (see Picture 2).

After turning topics to tasks you should specify task info. You can do it at once using the Task Info pane or do it later in the Mind2Chart Editor.

Now it’s time to see the plan. Choose Mind2Chart View on the View/Document views (see Picture 3).

You can also use the “Ctrl-G” hotkey to activate the Pane with the chart. After that you will see the Gantt chart built according to the selected tasks.

Easy-to-use interface of the Editor (see at the left side of Picture 4) lets you set dates for task start and finish, percent of task completion, dependencies between tasks, determine milestones. Here you can also allocate resources.

The Critical Path is a beautiful option to analyze your plan. You can see it after clicking corresponding on the button (see Picture 5).

You can modify information in the chart by writing corresponding values in the editor or dragging bars and relationship arrows manually at the chart area. Due to the two-way synchronization all changes in task information will appear in the mind map just at the same moment they appear in the chart and vice versa.

Take care of time in your planning!
