MindMap Search is a free Google Desktop Indexing Plug-in that allows to extend your search capabilities by adding local .mmap files to the scope*.

 

Just type keyword(s) in Google Desktop search field and get the list of mindmaps found on your local PC with specified search criteria together with the other files found. Each item of produced mindmap results list contains the map thumbnail and a link to the corresponding .mmap file accompanied with the phrase from it where the keyword(s) occurred. If you click "More" link below you can see all topics and suptopics of this mindmap without opening it in MindManager.

If you click a search result then corresponding mindmap opens directly in MindManager and the topic with keyword(s) is positioned and highlighted with special Callout**. Pay attention that it takes some time to index your .mmap files after you have installed MindMap Search. So it is possible that you won't see .mmap files in your search results list immediately after installation.
